Romantic Getaway Spots in MidCoast Maine
Exploring stunning MidCoast Maine from Lincolnville to Rockport
There are so many beautiful places to visit in Maine, especially in Summer. Our mission was to find the most romantic spots in the MidCoast, so with that in mind, my dear friends Jennifer and Ethen Bravo marked the map to see these gems.
Our first stop was McLaughlin’s Lobster Shack in the cutest little town of Lincolnville. They have two options for seating, we used both: enjoyed the best lobster roll and Haddock Fish n’ Chips by the water and some oysters on the cutest bar outfitted as a lobster boat.
Another place we had been wanting to visit in Lincolnville was Cellardoor Winery. Our visit started off with a glass of Pinot Noir and Viognier and a visit to the vineyard with the breathtaking views.
We settled in the shade of grapevines for a picnic, enjoying some treats from the vineyard shop and glass sparkling white wine. To our surprise, the visit to the winery was not limited to wine – we also enjoyed some berry picking in the shade of their fragrant apple trees. After our little picnic and a little bit of shopping we took a short but beautiful drive to the Camden Amphitheater and visited the charming library on site. A trip to Camden is not complete without a lovely walk to the Camden Harbor.
Our next stop was the picture-perfect, charming coastal village of Rockport. While walking around the village we stumbled upon a small restaurant called 18 Central. With the lovely interior, best oysters, delicious drinks it quickly became a new favorite.
Their menu had so many incredible options, we settled on holy smoke – a delightful mix of Monte Alban Mezcal, Fresh Squeezed Grapefruit Lemon & Lime with Salt Rim.
On our trip though the MidCoast we discovered many more beautiful places that we are planing to visit very soon. Maine never ceases to amaze me, so diverse, beautiful, and welcoming.
