Pemaquid Beach, is a family beach in New Harbor, Maine. The Beach is owned by the Town of Bristol in midcoast Maine and, along with it’s "sister" park, the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park, is operated by the Bristol Parks Commission. Pemaquid beach boasts clean, clear water. The sand is groomed daily to ensure beach goers enjoy the cleanest beach setting possible. Our beautiful new Pavilion offers large changing rooms and, popular with the younger, beach goers, are the outdoor shower towers to rinse off little feet and legs. You will find a Beach Shop, stocked with beach chairs, boggie boards and umbrellas for rent. Our 6-foot wide ADA compliant boardwalk affords wheelchair access to the beach. Since 2003, the Parks Commission has been partnered with the Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust, formerly the Pemaquid Watershed Association, to offer a unique nature center called "Beachcombers' Rest". Located inside the beach pavilion, the nature center features exhibits and displays describing the ecology of the beach. Our brand-new pavilion features a covered eating area and our snack shack offers delicious meals. In addition, the facility is available for rent and we have a small kitchen, with stove, refrigerator and sink that you can use to supply refreshments to your guests.
