June has arrived, bringing longer days, blooming fields of lupines, and a spectacular coastline that beckons you to kick off your shoes and explore. It’s also Pride Month—so, while rainbow flags fly high worldwide, we’re extra proud to share a region where inclusivity is woven into everyday life.

Pride Month Festivals
- Youth Pride Art and Writing – Throughout June, OUT Maine has collaborated with the Center for Maine Contemporary Art (CMCA) and Rock City Cafe in Rockland to host Youth Pride art exhibitions.
- Pride Walk at Erickson Fields – Explore the 2.87-mile out-and-back trail at Erickson Field Preserve, located near the town of Rockport. Walking this easy trail in June, you’ll appreciate artwork and photography created by LGBTQ+ and Maine youth.
- Brunswick Pride Festival – June 14. Local businesses, nonprofits, artists, and performers have created a family-friendly day filled with music, dance, art, and amazing food trucks.
- Delicious Divas Pride Show – June 20, Searsport. Get ready to sashay and slay at the Delicious Drag Divas Pride Show at Hey Sailor! and the Starboard Lounge. Hey Sailor! serves up terrific tacos, pizza, and cocktails.

The one-mile Mount Battie Trail at Camden Hills State Park provides panoramic views of Penobscot Bay. Explore the Beech Hill Preserve in Rockport for rugged terrain along paths lined with lupines. Or roam the wild Sears Island, the largest undeveloped island on the eastern seaboard.
