With your insulated backpack in tow, you’ll be taking a picnic lunch, healthy hiking snacks for the afternoon, and blanket as you head out for the day on the Island (also included is a map of Monhegan Island; sunscreen, natural bug repellent, and a keepsake branded Inn insulated water bottle and Captain Swift Inn cap).
You’ll head to Port Clyde, a charming artist, and fishing seaside community, with your Monhegan Island Boat ticket and parking pass in hand.
Sit back and enjoy the 50-minute crossing, taking in the sights along the way. Once on the Island, be sure to visit The Mohegan Island Light House, built in 1850, which is the second tallest lighthouse in Maine. Stop in the Keepers House which is now the island museum and learn more about its rich history. Hike to the DT Sheridan Shipwreck - which is a tugboat that washed to shore in 1850 during a storm. Picnic at Fish Beach and stop in the Mohegan Island Brewery for a cold drink. Two keepsake Brewery glasses are yours to take home! Don’t forget to stop at the Lupine Gallery and the Ducktrap Emporium before you catch your boat ride back to Port Clyde. Once in Port Clyde, check out the Marshall Point Light House and art galleries.
