Lincolnville Beach

Lincolnville Beach stretches for a half a mile just off Route 1 in the coastal village of Lincolnville. You can relax in the sun and swim in the waters of Penobscot Bay while enjoying the view of Islesboro Island just offshore. Inland from the beach, you can see some of the highest mountains along the Eastern Coast—the Camden Hills, which rise to more than 1,000 feet.

You'll find a small parking area just off the highway. The beach has no fee and no facilities. The long strip of beach slopes gradually into the bay and is well-protected from big waves by the islands. You can launch a sea kayak or boat from the beach to explore the islands, sightsee and fish.
