It’s January and the backwoods in the MidCoast are perfect now for winter sports. The colder outside, the better! Winter exercise offers health benefits, but the best rewards, of course, are the joy of gliding on snow, exploring the winter woods, or carving lazy eights on ice.
Last month I packed up my car and drove to Bath to begin a two day trip along the coast. Jenna at Maine’s MidCoast & Islands connected me with talented travel writer Noah Lederman, who came up from Long Island with his family to explore and experience this amazing part of Maine. I tagged along and documented their adventure.
Last week my friends Melissa, Rick and I took a trip up the beautiful coast of Maine to Boothbay Harbor to see the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden’s winter event, Gardens Aglow. On the way we stopped in Brunswick, Bath, Wiscasset and Boothbay Harbor to see what Midcoast Maine had to offer.
